People + HR

People are complicated. Your HR shouldn’t make them more complicated.

The manager needs help. The new hire is getting three different answers. The policy exists, but nobody knows what it means in this situation. Start with the people and the actual problem.

Two people in conversation in a sunlit workspace, one listening attentively with a notebook on her lap.

The human side needs practical work, too.

Help leaders handle the real situation.

Work through employee relations, leadership questions and performance issues. Clarify expectations, prepare for the conversation and decide what needs to happen afterward.

Give people a clearer experience.

Connect people strategy and organizational structure to recruiting, onboarding and day-to-day work. Make it easier to understand the role, the expectations and where to get help.

Build the support around it.

Put practical HR systems, policies and routines in place. Support compliance work where appropriate and coordinate with legal or specialist advisers when the situation calls for them.

CONCEPT PROJECT

Onboarding shouldn’t depend on who happens to be available.

Map the first few weeks from the new person’s point of view. Give access, training, introductions and check-ins a named owner. Help the manager use the plan, then ask what was still confusing.
